Sad News… As many of you know, our afternoon front desk employee Elaine had a heart attack September 23rd. Elaine and her husband were visiting their son
Joe in Florida. Elaine was rushed to the hospital and for the next week or so she was on a ventilator and a heart pump. It was determined that she was required to have three stents put in. The procedure seemed to
have gone well and as of this past Sunday Elaine was off the ventilator, breathing, and eating on her own. Monday morning brought us bad news. The stents failed and Elaine had a massive heart attack which resulted
in her passing Monday morning at 9 am on October 3, 2011. Elaine was 67 years old. As many of you may have read in our fall newsletter Elaine had a passion for trees, plants, and flowers. Most of Elaine's travels
included nature wherever she happened to go. In memory of Elaine we had a tree planted at the Morton Arboretum which included a plaque. |
