Dr. Cates has been working with the patients and staff at Holland Chiropractic & Rehab for almost
six years now. She first became interested in chiropractic care when she injured her back while playing softball at Downers Grove South High School. Her injury was successfully treated with
chiropractic care.
In June of 2006, Dr. Cates was asked to accompany the Downers Grove South Softball team to the IHSA
State Tournament. She acted as the team chiropractor, treating the players before and after their games for optimal performance.
The treatments must have helped as the Downers Grove South Mustangs finished 2nd in the state! She looks forward to working with the team in the future. She
completed an extensive course in Kinesio Taping technique. Kinesio Taping technique is a specialized elastic taping technique that can expedite the healing process in a number of different
injuries. While Kinesio Taping can help with many ailments, it has been especially effective in treating athletic injuries. Feel free to ask Dr. Cates for more information on how Kinesio Taping
works. Also in June 2006, she was married and now resides in Naperville with her husband Aaron.
While she has a love for all sports and athletic endeavors, Dr. Cates has a particular interest in
softball, baseball, and college basketball. In January 2008, she began coursework that will train her to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.
In her free time, Dr. Cates enjoys working out, gardening, dining out, and visiting with friends and family.
